Responsibilities

Peraton seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist/Planner to support the development and maintenance of Criteria, Measures of Performance, Measures of Effectiveness, and Indicators for DODIN Assessment Programs. Location: Fort Meade, MD.  

 

Tasks include:

  • Develop new MOPs / MOEs based on lessons learned, new technologies and capabilities, and current threats to the DODIN
  • Identify applicable related datasets applicable to assessing cybersecurity and map/align to criteria
  • Develop and maintain mapping to the Defense Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (DCWF)
  • Continuously evaluate, improve, and update operational effectiveness inspection methodology and associated criteria
  • Review, coordinate, and update all criteria references (law, regulations, policy, and orders) operationally to ensure the greatest accuracy possible
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity measures, indicators, checklists and any assessment program criteria, on multiple classification levels, and all data linkage to relevant cybersecurity references, controls, frameworks, or other data connections
  • Document alignment of cybersecurity assessment programs with various standards
  • Maintain materials for program grading, scoring, and risk measurement performance standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 14 years with AS/AA; 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D, Will consider HS+16 years of experience.
  • Strong technical writing skills for development of policy, procedures, and guides relating to cybersecurity governance & policy, privacy, risk management and compliance, and technical information security documentation adhering to Federal and commercial industry standards
  • Familar with executive, DOD, Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff (CJCS), NIST guidance/controls and other applicable policy or doctrine which will be used as a baseline for assessing cybersecurity service capabilities and operational effectiveness
  • Familiarity in developing a performance-based assessment implementation plan that includes new/evolving MOEs
  • Ability to work independently with collateral engineers, analysts, and managers on related projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal means to co-workers and senior leadership
  • Current DOD 8140/8570 IAT level II certification
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Preferred:

  • Experience as a DOD staff officer able to comply with doctrine and coordinate stakeholder input in the production of codified documents
