About the Role

The Digital Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business while maintaining selected existing client relationships. The role involves managing the full sales lifecycle — from identifying opportunities and pitching solutions through to campaign launch, billing and reporting — with a strong focus on digital media and advertising solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business from brands, agencies and call centres

  • Maintain selected existing client accounts while building a personal client base
  • Own campaigns end to end, from strategy and pitch through to launch, billing and reporting
  • Liaise with agencies, brands, industry bodies, third parties and internal stakeholders
  • Manage and maintain a strong personal sales pipeline
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reporting to management
  • Share customer insights and industry feedback with internal teams
  • Identify relevant opportunities and capitalise on the group’s product offering
  • Work collaboratively within a team, reporting to management and senior leadership

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in media sales, with a focus on cybersecurity
  • B2B media sales experience preferred but not essential
  • Proven ability to initiate, structure and close complex sales packages
  • Experience selling to senior management and director-level clients
  • Strong understanding of internet technologies and the digital advertising market
  • Ability to develop creative, bespoke advertising solutions in a competitive environment
  • Established relationships with Gauteng-based agencies and clients
  • Strong agency knowledge and existing agency relationships
  • Call centre industry experience is essential
  • Qualification in sales, advertising or equivalent practical experience
  • Cyber security knowledge will be an added advantage

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising concepts, including analytics and ad platforms
  • Working knowledge of advertising metrics such as CPM, CPC, CPV and CPI
  • Awareness of current digital advertising trends, audience data and relevant legislation
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation ability and commercial acumen
  • Target-driven with a proven sales track record
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Able to work independently and remotely when required
  • Deadline- and target-focused mindset
