Description

Position in the Global Engineering Center’s Digital Transformation Services (DTS) program (part of Real Estate & Facilities) requiring experience in the smart building automation industry. This role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and securing connected infrastructure as part of the Global Engineer Center (GEC) DTS Strategy Roadmap, focused on the Oracle Americas and EMEA regions. This includes leveraging technology solutions for energy management, sustainability, portfolio optimization, efficient operations and maintenance and an improved employee experience. This position will manage the implementation of regional IoT technologies by collaborating with GEC DTS program peers, PM Resources, Facilities Managers, Enterprise Engineering, Risk Management, IFM Engineering Staff and Suppliers. Responsibilities

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a high performing RE&F DTS team
  • Create Corporate Security review documentation for Real Estate and facilities applications to enhance employee experience and support other RE&F projects and initiatives 
  • Participate in IoT Project Definition from RFP formulation through to Architecture Review/Approval process
  • Participate in the Oracle Corporate Security Review Process by collecting and submitting required system artifacts
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Engineering on Network, Firewall and Equipment hosting requirements
  • Participate in projects involving the integration of myriad building control systems 
  • Participate in the Quality Control, Commissioning and ongoing support of operational technology implementation 
  • Participate in quarterly Bi-Weekly GEC DTS Best Practices Review meetings & training sessions

 

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Works with Project Management Teams to review engineered electrical/mechanical/controls designs and ensure design supports a connected infrastructure strategy
  • Support multiple integration/controls projects from startup to commissioning and participate in project meetings as required to support assigned RE&F PM
  • Participate in weekly IoT work stream collaboration meetings with IFM engineering staff and cross functional team members
  • Reviews a wide array of electronic, mechanical and plumbing systems drawings
  • Reviews Controls/Integration Engineering – Network Riser Diagrams, Sequence of Operations, I/O points lists, Startup/Commissioning Results
  • Utilizes hands-on experience or familiarity with the following Building Systems and Technologies:
    • Energy and Water Metering
    • BMS/BAS/SCADA/HVAC
    • Smart Lighting/Windows
    • Alternative Energy
    • Energy Management / IoT Software Platforms and Middleware Hardware
    • Miscellaneous Systems:  Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM)
    • Building Controls Communication Protocols: Tridium Niagara, BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, Web Services, Mesh Networks, Zigbee, OPC
    • BAS Engineering Tools:  Tridium Niagara, Modscan, BACnet Explorer, Wireshark, Visio, CAD, Revit
    • IT Skills: Microsoft OS Administration, IIS, IP Addressing, Servers, PC’s, Firewalls, Switching, Routing, DNS, SMTP, DHCP, OSI Model, VLANS, VPN, IPSec Tunneling, Microsoft Office suite
  • Supports proof-of-concept initiatives from concept to execution and assesses overall effectiveness.
  • Support the development of Digital Transformation Services guidelines and standards

 

Requirements:

  • Project Management experience working in facility engineering/management, I.T., construction or energy management
  • Collaborate with peers on Connected Infrastructure implementation and DTS Roadmap Execution 
  • Degree in technology, engineering, business, or related field
  • Experience troubleshooting network communication leveraging command prompt
  • Technical writing skills experience
  • Experience in Operational Technology data & analytics
  • Located within commute distance to an Oracle office
  • Occasional travel: approximately 1x-2x/quarter

 

Preferences:

  • Project and Program Management experience
  • Facilities Engineering or I.T. background
  • Industry Certifications:  Tridium Niagara AX/N4 Certified, Certified Measurement and Verification Professional, LEED AP, WELL, Fitwel, RESET

US: Hiring Range: from $79,000 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
