Description

As an Information Systems Security Officer I/II, you would be expected to apply knowledge of information security services analysis concepts, practices and procedures and execute security procedures for classified computer systems based on the Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements.

Maintain compliance of classified systems to Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements in a multi-tasking environment. This position requires technical proficiency, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.  Specific tasks will include:

 

  • Collect, analyze and archive Microsoft Windows event logs on a weekly basis
  • Ensure classified workstations are up to date with all security patches as required by the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Use scanning tools to verify compliance to Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements
  • Manage user accounts 
  • Monitor workstation configuration
  • Ensure all system users receive their annual awareness training
  • Customer service
  • Assist with investigations into security violations related to cleared information systems
  • Perform independently, or with a group, on site, group or enterprise-level security projects designed to enhance the security posture of CAES.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager


Qualifications

MUST HAVE

  • 1 year experience administering Microsoft Windows systems
  • High school Diploma or GED 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance

  • Knowledge of information systems security components and best practices
  • Ability to work with people in a team environment and deal effectively with changing project priorities
  • Highly self-motivated and strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail 
  • Strong interpersonal oral, written and communication skills

The hourly pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00 an hour. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
