Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to safeguard our IT infrastructure, data, and applications. The successful candidate will proactively identify, assess, and mitigate security threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, POPIA).
  • Collaborate with IT teams to secure cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Perform security audits and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–7 years’ experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.), firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or AWS Security Specialty.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, encryption, and security frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
